The people who wrote this law should be in jail. The people at Facebook who shared private information should be in jail (and yeah, they should have known Facebook isn’t private, but that’s beside the point). A 19 year old who made a choice about her own body doesn’t belong in jail.
Fuck
When I say Meta (Threads, FB, Insta) is not your friend I Fucking Mean It.
Also: If ever there is a chance to pass national abortion protections, we MUST push for that legislation to also expunge the records of people jailed for it.
watched this for the first time when i was 14 i think? it saved me
Knew what this was before I clicked and had to watch the whole thing again.
If you haven’t seen it, now’s your chance!

i need more 5e hate on my feed
d&d 5e is fine if you want to play Dungeons and Dragons™️ but too many people try to crumple the game they want to run into 5e's rules instead of finding a system that is built for it
there's actually so much elegant game design out there in so many shapes and sizes for what you want, and constraining yourself to one edition of one system is going to be really frustrating when you start looking for that variety
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Well yeah but at least reccomend another system, you can't just say "Dnd 5e sucks play something else," and not tell people about at least one of the other systems that are really cool and good and will suit their game much better.
Like I'll start, Microscope is a game where you and your friends build an entire world from scratch, you start by listing your hard and soft limits for the game, (a great player safety tool,) you write how the story starts and ends, and then you fill in the blanks. Players take it in turns to add more to the story wherever they like, the other players only slightly being able to influence their additions. It's a little complicated when you first play, the game reccomends you play with an experienced player your first time, but I found it fairly intuitive and played a very fun detective story with my younger siblings. You can learn more and buy it here or it is also available on itch.io
While I'm not sure if you were replying more to the image reply than the original post on top, this is super fair!
I wanted to avoid saying "X sucks, play a REAL game like Y instead" in the original post both because what game I'd recommend to others as a D&D alternative would change drastically depending on what each person would want from tabletop, and because I didn't want the underlying message of the post to seem like I was trying to get people to play a specific game (as opposed to broadening horizons).
That being said, I'll absolutely oblige and drop a recommendation for Ryuutama: Natural Fantasy RPG. It's a cozy 'feel-good' Japanese TTRPG with an official (and pretty solid) English localization and both physical and digital releases worldwide. Framed as 'a JRPG town's NPCs deciding to go on an adventure of their own', players roll up characters with NPC classes such as Merchant, Hunter, Farmer, Crafter, etc. as they set out on a low stakes, journey focused adventure throughout a fantasy world.
While not as combat focused and definitely not as gritty as some other fantasy systems, Ryuutama is a favourite for figuring out really elegant and easy to pick up rules for everything you'd need in a traveling, item collecting, mayor's child saving adventure. You have to consider encumbrance, but every item's size being one of three values defined by how many hands you'd need to carry it (or if it fits in a palm) keeps it intuitive. You need to eat and sleep every day, but the rules turn this into a group activity where every character contributes something special (and beneficial) to the feast. Your role in combat isn't stapled to your NPC class, either!
I can't mention all of what I love about it here, but if you're looking for a fantasy TTRPG system with a focus on the journey and travel with a ton of charm (including hand illustrated panels on each page depicting a newbie party being shown the ropes in-character!!!!), please check it out!!
P.S. ryuutama totally has raganarok vibes and if you are like me and have an eternal itch to roll up shopkeeper or craftsperson characters in your campaigns please buy this book even just to read it from front to back, it is wonderful
To all my trans friends, in any stage of your transition from just questioning if you might be trans to those who have been fully transitioned for several years,
• You are amazing.
• You look great.
• You are passing.
• You're going to be okay.
I hope your day goes well for you.
